Here's What to Know for Orientation!

Fall 2025 Orientation 

Orientation Day: Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Check-in:  8:45 am | 9:15 am
Program Sessions: 9:00 am | 9:30 am

Are you a new student beginning your program at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in September 2025?  We want to make sure you’re off to the best start before classes  and get ready for success as a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø student.   

Here's what we have for you:

  • Pre-Orientation Sessions from August 11-29
  • Orientation Day with group    sessions just for your program
  • Gather in the gym for more info and meet staff
  • Chances to win prizes

Register to let us know you're coming! All new students are encouraged to attend. Attendance is mandatory for new international students.

Following Orientation Day, your Student Union has some great  events today and through the week.

International Welcome: Friday, August 29

Registration:  9:30 am
Begins:  10:00 am

Along with Pre-Orientation Sessions and Orientation Day,  international students starting their studies on main campus in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Ste. Marie this fall will also attend a special International Welcome Day.

Attendance is mandatory for international students for August 29 and September 2 events. Registration is not required.

Meet your Indigenous Students' Union (ISU) & Indigenous Studies faculty and staff and hear about services, supports, events & resources for Indigenous students.

We want you to feel comfortable before starting classes. Join us for pre-orientation sessions before your first semester begins.

Join us for Orientation Day with your faculty and classmates for important information to prepare you to start college, giveaways, campus tours, and more.
Get ready for an amazing start to your college journey with O-Week events from your 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Students’ Union this fall. Start with Neon Navigation — a scavenger hunt around campus once Orientation Day events wrap up on September 2. Learn your way around, have some fun, and snag some snacks, treats, and prizes. Stay tuned to the SCSU website for all O-Week events!
Let's help you achieve your academic goals and learn about opportunities to get involved. New students starting September 2025 can complete the online survey for a chance to win 1 of 2 $250 Chartwells gift card on September 17. Early bird draws will be on September 2 and 5 for a chance to win 1 of 2 $150 Bookstore gift cards.
